Use Your Own Successful Diet for permanent weight loss) ( All you need from me is the right mental mindset) Men and Women
If you have used your own successful diet plan in the past bring it to the hypnosis session. In my experience any diet will work as long as you stick at it and exercise and relax the right way. Excluding health problems and medications which will interfere or make weight loss hard to achieve. For example losing weight when you over the age of 50 is much harder with many factors at play. Hormones out of balance and low estrogen’s, insulin resistance when you hit peri- menopause and menopause and post menopause. With so many diets out there confusion continues reigns supreme with the majority of women yo yo dieting without success their whole life.
Ask me about my couples Weight Loss Feel Well Program Lose weight together with the love of your life.
I have over my lifetime and Im 60 years of age post menopausal tried to lose weight with over 15 different diets. I have researched and researched every living diet known to mankind and just about tried them all. Atkins, Pritikin, The Hormone Reset, The Waterfall Diet, The 2-5 Intermittent Fasting , The 16-8 Fasting, Keto – which made me feel sick.. The Montignac Slimming Sensation, Donna Aston, Metabolic Precision Program, Vegetarian. I have tried Herbal-life and other pills and shakes. There are so many I cannot remember them:)
Men also find it very hard to lose weight after a certain age – however you are luckier then us women. You will burn fat quicker then us as you have more muscle and muscle burns more calories at rest then fat. All you have to do is engage that muscle. I love to help the men too!!
And I have got bored with them all and never stayed on them. You could say I have been a diet junkie. Up until I hit peri- menopause at 52 my weight stayed off easily. I was teaching aerobics then for over 20 years,so that probably helped 4 times a week. I also did weights up until the age of 52 and then I stopped and i should never have stopped. Weights are vital for strength and burning calories but again in moderation after a certain age. I did keep exercising like walking however did not get back in the gym until 2019. I was 64 kilos before I had my 3 children and now I am 70 kilos at 60. Pretty good really but it has been a constant battle. My focus is now on feeling well and getting my health in order rather than focusing on my weight. I do have very good exercise habits and am not a sugar freak. My weaknesses are for carbs. Love bread it dosent love me. I drink very little these days as it affects me – maybe 4 a week. I had some blood tests recently which told me my cholesterol is 7.8 which is too high. Even though I had cut out a lot of red meat. I also found out i have too much iron and am borderline hyper – thyroid. Joys of getting older.!
Get yourself a blood test and see what is going on with your body and then you can make the best choices for which eating plan will suit you and be workable for you. Anyhow I know I have to get my cholesterol down and do not want to go on statins so did a bit of research and am now on the Portfolio diet. This is a diet that uses soya products plant esterols grains and fruits and is completely animal free . Vegan suits me as I love vegetables and legumes and hummus. Im also adding yoga to my wellness plan to decrease my stress levels. When you have a lot of stress it gathers cortisol around your gut. Its just one more thing to keep the weight on. I cant stand having the overhang. It really bugs me too. Another is lack of sleep such a huge problem with women and all things menopausal. If you dont get enough sleep science has proven that again the stress hormone is released and bingo gathers around the gut. We women biologically keep fat in reserve in times of famine and when our life span was much shorter. So different from today when we are not threatened in the western world with a lack of food.Alcohol is a huge saboteur of weight loss. The body will take the calories and energy it needs from the alcohol and leave your fat behind. One glass of red every now and then can be accomodate :)Every 10 years your metabolic weight will drop by 10 Percent. So you can see that losing weight for women is highly problematic and very individualistic. One size does not fit all .

Julie has never cooked a home meal -she was phobic about cooking and went to MacDonald’s every day. she did shift work and had sleeping problems as well not being able to get up on time. Julie was more interested in developing good habits around food like how to eat 3 meals only a day, what to eat and to stop eating the crap. With hypnosis and counselling, Julie stopped going to MacDonald’s and started to eat breakfast and lunch and taking dinner to work. Julie decided to order her meals in until she gets around to cooking for herself. I also gave her hypnosis to wake up on time and exercise regularly. Julie has lost 4 kilos in the 6 weeks.
Susan 110 kilos now 104.5 after 4 weeks 2017
“Hi Cathy I am so wrapt that I have lost this weight and I didn’t think it would be this easy. I now get up every morning and walk when I used to lie in bed, I don’t crave any sugar and I don’t eat by the tv anymore. I am taking my lunch to work and the best thing is I don’t feel deprived. I am busting out of my skin, I have even started to jog and my curves are showing in a good way, I had to buy a size smaller the other day and will continue the program for my life and will get down to my goal weight of 80 kilos.”
“Thank you so much
Robert lost 8kilos in 8 weeks October 2015
“The best thing about this program has been how I have changed my relationship with food from an unhealthy one to a healthy one. I have a small child and he was a major motivator for me as I need to be fit and healthy for him – I did have a hiccup or two during the program but quickly got back on board with the Six Rules and know I just have to keep following them till I get to my goal weight of 80 kilos.”
I can say that all of my clients to date are amazed and surprised that their desire for sugar and fatty foods is no longer an issue for them very quickly into the program.
Renate April 2014
“I have been coming to Cathy for 4 weeks now and have lost between 1.5 and 2.5 kgs each week following the hypnosis program Cathy has given me, I am delighted with the results and it has been really easy to follow” I am in my 60″s and Cathy also gave me an easy eating and exercise plan to follow -I have quite a few health issues like diabetes and arthritis and the doctors strongly advised me to lose weight.” I don’t feel like I am on a diet at all and my focus is not on food at all. I am walking 4 times a week and bought myself a pretty dress which I have not been confident of wearing until now“
Rachel September 2014 “
I am in the 3rd week of my weight loss program and I have lost 3.5 kilos- I feel so energetic and I am not starving. Cathy has given me a really easy eating and exercise plan and I have to listen to a cd for 30 days to bed down all the suggestions which is dead easy. My shopping bills have halved and I have taken up tennis and am about to start netball when I lose some more weight. This is the first time I have actually enjoyed losing weight and I do not feel deprived and I get a treat day! I am very pleased!”
Jill June 2015
“I have seen Cathy twice now and have lost 3kgs so far, I knew I was capable of it as had done it before, however, I really needed my mindset to get into gear and get that belief happening strongly and the motivation. Cathy has provided all of this in the hypnosis session and the stuff she gives me to do outside the sessions like the rules I have to follow and exercise are dead easy.” I feel so much more energised and can’t wait to come to more of Cathy’s sessions”
Elaine aged 75 years January 2015
“I had never been hypnotised before however, I was ready to try something different after many many years of dieting. This was easy and lost 6kilos in 3 .5 weeks. Cathy gave me some tasks to do out of hypnosis like exercise and I had to listen to a cd for 30 days -as its not a case of me sitting in the chair and the weight magically falls off. There was no calorie counting and I got a treat day, but I never wanted it. The really good thing was how I have taken the focus completely off eating food and now am more energetic. I will keep doing the program until I reach my goal weight and I can always come back to the cd and get Cathy back for a top-up if I fall off the wagon so to speak. Cathy is very warm and engaging with a good sense of humour.”
Sharon July 2016
then I relapsed and started snacking again on sugary treats and put on 10 kilos. I came to see Cathy for hypnosis and after 1 session I stopped snacking amazing I did have 2 sessions in the end but as I said I stopped after one session. Cathy gave me a cd to listen to at home as well for 30 days and really helped me identify why I started to snack again
Susan drank 16 scotch and cokes every weekend.
” Cathy, I have not drunk coke now for 4 weeks and have no desire for it and I have stopped biting my nails and lost 5 kilos ” June 2016 (She still has scotch but not very often, life would be too boring without a smooth whiskey now and then) She has lost 4 kilos after 5 weeks.”
Sarah Property Manager Feb 2016
“I did not eat regular meals at all and snacked constantly after 6 weeks I have lost 7.5 kilos and importantly had learned about healthy food to consume and how to develop the daily habits of eating three meals a day.

Studies showing the success of hypnosis as a therapy to lose weight.
Studies show that people who combine diet and exercise with Hypnosis lose more weight than they do with diet and exercise alone” – Allure Hypnosis has one of the highest rates of success for keeping the weight off long term
Hypnosis Over 30 Times as Effective for Weight Loss Investigated the effects of hypnosis in weight loss for 60 females, at least 20% overweight. Treatment included group hypnosis with metaphors for ego-strengthening, decision making and motivation, ideomotor exploration in individual hypnosis, and group hypnosis with maintenance suggestions. Hypnosis was more effective than a control group: an average of 17 lbs lost by the hypnosis group vs. an average of 0.5 lbs lost by the control group, on follow-up. Cochrane, Gordon; Friesen, J. (1986). Hypnotherapy in weight loss treatment. Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, 54, 489-492. Two Years Later: Hypnosis Subjects Continued To Lose Significant Weight 109 people completed a behavioural treatment for weight management either with or without the addition of hypnosis. At the end of the 9-week program, both interventions resulted in significant weight reduction. At 8-month and 2-year follow-ups, the hypnosis subjects were found to have continued to lose significant weight, while those in the behavioural-treatment-only group showed little further change.

Hypnosis Subjects Lost More Weight Than 90% of Others and Kept it Off Researchers analysed 18 studies comparing a cognitive behavioural therapy such as relaxation training, guided imagery, self-monitoring, or goal setting with the same therapy supplemented by hypnosis. Those who received the hypnosis lost more weight than 90 per cent of those not receiving hypnosis and maintained the weight loss two years after treatment ended.
