If you have used your own successful diet plan in the past bring it to the hypnosis session.In my experience any diet will work as long as you stick at it and exercise and relax the right way. Excluding health problems and medications which will interfere or make weight loss hard to achieve.For example  losing weight when you over the age of 50 is much harder with many factors at play. Hormones out of balance and low estrogen’s, insulin resistance when you hit peri- menopause and menopause and post menopause. With so many diets out there confusion continues  reigns supreme with the majority of women yo yo dieting without success their whole life.

I have over my lifetime and Im 60 years of age post menopausal tried to lose weight with  over 15 different diets. I have researched and researched every living diet known to mankind and just about tried them all. Atkins, Pritikin, The Hormone Reset,  The Waterfall Diet, The 2-5 Intermittent Fasting , The 16-8 Fasting, Keto – which made me feel sick.. The Montignac Slimming Sensation, Donna Aston, Metabolic Precision Program, Vegetarian. I have tried Herbal-life and other pills and shakes. There are so many I cannot remember them:)

Men also find it very hard to lose weight after a certain age – however you are luckier then us women. You will burn fat quicker then us as you have more muscle and muscle burns more calories at rest then fat. All you have to do is engage that muscle. I love to help the men too!!

And I have got bored with them all and never stayed on them.  You could say I have been a diet junkie. Up until I hit peri- menopause at 52  my weight stayed off easily. I was teaching aerobics then  for over 20 years,so that probably helped 4 times a week. I also did weights up until the age of 52 and then I stopped and i should never have stopped. Weights are vital for strength and burning calories but again in moderation after a certain age.  I did keep exercising like walking however did not get back in the gym until 2019. I was 64 kilos before I had my 3 children and now I am 70 kilos at 60. Pretty good really but it has been a constant battle. My focus is now on feeling well and getting my health in order rather than focusing on my weight. I do have very good exercise habits and am not a sugar freak. My weaknesses are for carbs. Love bread it dosent love me. I drink very little these days as it affects me – maybe 4 a week.  I had some blood tests recently which told me my cholesterol is 7.8 which is too high. Even though I had cut out a lot of red meat. I also found out i have too much iron and am borderline hyper – thyroid. Joys of getting older.!

  Get yourself a blood test and see what is going on with  your body and then you can make the best choices for which eating plan will suit you and be workable for you. Anyhow I know I have to get my cholesterol down and do not want to go on statins so did a bit of research and am now on the Portfolio diet. This is a diet that uses soya products plant esterols grains and fruits and is completely animal free . Vegan suits me as I love vegetables and legumes and hummus. Im also adding yoga to my wellness plan to decrease my stress levels. When you have a lot of stress it gathers cortisol around  your gut. Its just one more thing to keep the weight on. I cant stand having the overhang. It really bugs me too.  Another is lack of sleep such a huge problem with women and all things menopausal. If you dont get enough sleep science has proven that again the stress hormone is released and bingo gathers around the gut. We women biologically keep fat in reserve in times of famine and when our life span was much shorter. So different from today when we are not threatened in the western world with a lack of food.Alcohol is a huge saboteur of weight loss. The body will take the calories and energy it needs from the alcohol and leave your fat behind. One glass of red every now and then can be accomodate :)Every 10 years your metabolic weight will drop by 10 Percent. So you can see that losing weight for women is highly problematic and very individualistic. One size does not fit all .

What can hypnosis do for you? Hypnosis can harness your desire and determination to stay on your diet until you lose the weight .Via repetition of suggestions that are made up of your motivation Your big why to lose the weight. Hypnosis will address the relationship you have with food for example – is it a punishment or reward for you? Hypnosis will address the triggers that cause you to reach for the 

Hypnosis will focus on teaching you at a subconscious level how to relax. How to sleep. How to breathe properly. Once you get these under control it makes losing weight a whole lot easier. How many sessions will you need? Honestly I dont know until I see you and work out what your issues, challenges are..Sometimes some clients can walk away with 1 session under their belts and see results quickly’ Most need at least 6 sessions spread out over 12 weeks.

Julie has never cooked a home meal -she was phobic about cooking and went to MacDonald’s every day. she did shift work and had sleeping problems as well not being able to get up on time. Julie was more interested in developing good habits around food like how to eat 3 meals only a day, what to eat and to stop eating the crap. Studies show that people who combine diet and exercise with Hypnosis lose more weight than they do with diet and exercise alone” – Allure Hypnosis has one of the highest rates of success for keeping the weight off long term

Hypnosis Over 30 Times as Effective for Weight Loss Investigated the effects of hypnosis in weight loss for 60 females, at least 20% overweight. Treatment included group hypnosis with metaphors for ego-strengthening, decision making and motivation, ideomotor exploration in individual hypnosis, and group hypnosis with maintenance suggestions. Hypnosis was more effective than a control group: an average of 17 lbs lost by the hypnosis group vs. an average of 0.5 lbs lost by the control group, on follow-up. Cochrane, Gordon; Friesen, J. Two Years Later: Hypnosis Subjects Continued To Lose Significant Weight 109 people completed a behavioural treatment for weight management either with or without the addition of hypnosis. At the end of the 9-week program, both interventions resulted in significant weight reduction. At 8-month and 2-year follow-ups, the hypnosis subjects were found to have continued to lose significant weight, while those in the behavioural-treatment-only group showed little further change.

Hypnosis Subjects Lost More Weight Than 90% of Others and Kept it Off Researchers analysed 18 studies comparing a cognitive behavioural therapy such as relaxation training, guided imagery, self-monitoring, or goal setting with the same therapy supplemented by hypnosis.
